The Art Gallery of Mississauga brings together over forty prints and drawings from the Permanent Art Collection. With a focus on Canadian contemporary art, they will exhibit prints and drawings from established artists such as Christopher Pratt and Kim Adams. Fable drawings - The Premiere Dance Theatre Gallery Space presents Yael Brotman's drawing series until September 19. The drawings depict the oral and literary traditions of various cultures including folk tales, ancient Greek mythology with an emphasis on gods, goddesses and heroes of the First Nations archetypes. Glass Sculpture Exhibition - Sandra Ainsley, Canada's pioneer glass sculpture gallery is proud to present its first one person show of American sculptor Daniel Clayman. Clayman's work is noted for being theatrical in character, Zen in spirit and in archetypal form. His sculptures are made primarily of cast glass, graphite bronze and copper. Images Tell the Stories: Thread Has a Life of its Own - At the York Quay Gallery located at the Harbourfront Centre, two distinctive textile traditions and cultures have been brought together - Indian and Inuit. This textile works and artist exchange, emphasises common narrative traditions in their production. Individual and collaborative work will be presented. In addition, a two week workshop involving two Inuit and two Santhali artists will produce a combined textile work representing Planet IndigenUs festival themes. From July 10 to September 19.
