High Times' Potluck (2 out of 4)

Starring Frank Adonis and Theo Kogan. Directed by Alison E.g. Thomson.

By Angela Baldassarre

Awfully indulgent and uninvolving comedy about a suitcase full of pot, the mob, some punk rockers, and gay pride, High Times' Potluck is most definitely for the stoner crowd.
Two drug dealers sell their stash to an artist who in turn is murdered and robbed by two idiot brothers, who in turn are robbed by Frank, a loyal mob soldier (Frank Adonis). But Frank meets up with a punk rocker named Jade (Theo Kogan) and gets sidetracked which causes all sorts of problems with his bosses.
Too long, too confusing, too pretentious, and totally uninteresting. The comedy is broad, the situations silly, and the performances lazy. Like I said, if you're stoned (the film is produced by High Times magazine) you'll probably get a few kicks.
