Le vie dei festival - The roads of festival - aims to offer a selection of theatrical events from summer Italian and European festival programming. Le vie dei festival presents a wide range of theatrical languages, touching different cultures, mixing together internationally famous artists, younger companies and performers. It's therefore to be considered as an extensive meeting chance, in which the thread is the strong identity of the performances and the emotions aroused by excellent returns and researches to run after.
The international guests of this 9 edition are Rodrigo Garcìa, Peter Brook and Maurice Benichou, Federico León; Danio Manfredini, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Giorgio Rossi the Italian guests. This year, for the first time, Le vie dei festival will be open by the winners shows of Scenario Prize 2003 that, from many years, carry out an important role as new theatre's observatory, referring to the young Italian artist.

Agri-tourism in Piedmonte
The Piedmontese farm Cascina Papa Mora dates back from the beginning of the 20th century. A place of life and love, it is the best place for those go-getters of rural tourism. It's name comes from the great grandfather known as "Papa d'la Mura" who built the farm house. It is located on the hill around 300 meters above sea level.
Visitors can find total tranquility and privacy, as well as moments of diversions for adults and children. This includes table tennis, green areas, a lake, mountain bikes, swimming pool, horse riding and, a reading or music room that can be used as a stage or for small meetings.
Nature in Milan
Only 30 kilometers.from Milan, one arrives at Cascina Caremma which is immersed in the wonderful countryside of the Parco del Ticino, close to Besate. It is an organic farm combining agriculture with relaxed farmhouse hospitality. The surrounding farmland, reclaimed by Cistercian Monks in the 13th century, and the Ticino Park offer constant contact with nature with numerous routes for rambling, bicycling, canoeing and horse-riding. Moreover, there are interesting excursions and visits to the famous Cistercian Abbey in the medieval village of Morimondo close-by.
Cascina Caremma, also doubles as an information centre of the Parco del Ticino. It supplies ideas, material and educational aids for organizing real adventures. Children are free to run and spend joyful days outside discovering cows, hens, grease and pigs; animals bred in the farmsheds surrounding the farmhouse.
Ode to Silent Films
In Pordenone, in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, an annual festival occurs that is the world's only festival devoted exclusively to silent cinema. It began as an intimate local event and has now flourished to become a festival which is a major international cultural manifestation. It is regularly attracting visitors from across the world, ranging from academics, archivists and critics to private enthusiasts and collectors.
This year's highlights are: Cooper & Schoedsack and Friends, films selected by Kevin Brownlow including all the silent films of Merian Coldwell Cooper (1893-1973) and Ernest Beaumont Schoedsack (1893-1979): Ra-mu, Grass, Chang, The Four Feathers, Rango and some titles of other filmmakers who were inspired by them.
The festival takes place from October 11 to October 16, 2003.
